The Pyramids of Giza, located on the west bank of the Nile River near Cairo, Egypt, are monumental testaments to ancient Egyptian civilization. Constructed during the Fourth Dynasty (circa 2575–2465 BCE), this archaeological site comprises three main pyramids
Great Pyramid of Khufu (Cheops): The largest of the trio, originally standing at approximately 146.6 meters (481 feet), it was built for Pharaoh Khufu. This pyramid is notable for its precise construction and was considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
Pyramid of Khafre: Slightly smaller than the Great Pyramid, it was constructed for Pharaoh Khafre. This complex includes the Great Sphinx, a limestone statue with the body of a lion and the head of a pharaoh, believed to represent Khafre himself.
Pyramid of Menkaure: The smallest of the three, built for Pharaoh Menkaure, it stands at a height of 65 meters (213 feet).
